  輕微嘅牙齦出血系早期牙齦炎嘅指征，此時唔應停止擦牙而應用軟毛保健牙擦認真擦牙，一般都可以使牙齦出血得到控制。如果一周後還有牙齦出血現象，就應及時搵口腔醫生檢查和治療。 定期檢查：定期進行口腔檢查，最好每6個月1次;定期進行潔治，即洗牙，醫生用特殊器械清除牙石，每年一次;早期診斷，早期治療。 二、血液常規檢查; 三、X光攝片檢查; 四、分泌物及組織培養+葯敏等檢查法。 並發症 主要並發以下疾病：
  1、可能發生牙周腫脹或多發性牙周膿腫。 2、咬合無力、鈍痛、牙齦出血和口臭加重。 3、當機體抵抗力降低，牙周袋滲液引流唔暢時，可引起牙周脹腫，此時牙齦呈卵圓形突起、發紅腫脹、牙齒松動度增加、有叩痛，患者感局部劇烈疼痛，有時同時出現多個部位嘅膿腫，稱多發性牙周膿腫。此時患者可有體溫升高、全身唔適、頜下淋巴結腫大、壓痛等症狀。
