  • Description : All-on-4® dental implants use only four implants to anchor for permanent dentures. In addition, unlike the traditional dental implants, only people missing all or most of their teeth can qualify for the treatment as it requires that the dentist removes all the remaining teeth. As a result, all-on-4® dental implants are more economical for people who have lost all their teeth than traditional dental implants.

Overview

    • Traditional Dental Implant

Dental implants are small titanium posts that fit inside the jawbone and replace missing teeth’s root parts. Dental surgery is required to insert the implant into the jaw. Once the implant is inserted, the dentist attaches a tooth-shaped porcelain cap called a crown to your implant.

During the initial procedure, the dentist places the implant into the jawbone. The jawbone is given three to six months to heal. After this period, the implant connects with your jawbone.

Once the jawbone has healed, you will undergo another surgery where the dentist will attach an abutment to your implant. The abutment links the implant to the crown.  Your dental crown will then be attached to the implants.

    • All-on-4® Dental Implants

All-on-4® dental implants use only four implants to anchor for permanent dentures. In addition, unlike the traditional dental implants, only people missing all or most of their teeth can qualify for the treatment as it requires that the dentist removes all the remaining teeth. As a result, all-on-4® dental implants are more economical for people who have lost all their teeth than traditional dental implants.

The dentist will extract all the remaining teeth during the treatment and place the implants. Your implants are placed at angles to make the most of your implant ratio to the bone, hence avoiding any bone grafting procedures. The following day after the procedure, your dentures are fitted.

All-on-4® dental implants have a shorter treatment and recovery times than traditional dental implants.
