Overview

• Airless spraying equipment is generally composed of power source, high-pressure pump, pressure accumulating filter, high-pressure paint hose, paint container, spray gun and other parts.

  (1) Power source: The power source of the paint pressurizing high-pressure pump has three types: compressed air drive, electric drive, and diesel engine drive. Generally, it is driven by compressed air, and the operation is relatively simple and safe. The shipyards are all driven by compressed air. Compressed air as a power source includes air compressors (or air storage tanks), compressed air delivery pipelines, valves, oil-water separators, etc.

  (2) Spray gun: The airless spray gun is composed of gun body, nozzle, filter, trigger, gasket, connector, etc. The airless spray gun has only a paint channel, no compressed air channel, and requires the paint channel to have excellent sealing and high pressure resistance, and does not leak the pressurized high-pressure paint. The gun body should be light, the trigger should be easy to open and close, and the operation should be flexible. There are many types of airless spray guns, such as handheld spray guns, long rod spray guns, and automatic spray guns. The handheld spray gun is light in structure and easy to operate. It can be used for various airless spraying operations in fixed and unfixed occasions.

  (3) High-pressure pump: High-pressure pump is divided into double acting type and single acting type according to the working principle. According to the power source, it can be divided into three types: pneumatic, hydraulic and electric. The pneumatic high-pressure pump is the most widely used. The pneumatic high-pressure pump uses compressed air as the power, and the air pressure is generally 0.4MPa-0.6MPa. The pressure of the paint is controlled by adjusting the pressure of the compressed air through the pressure reducing valve. The paint pressure can reach dozens of times the compressed air input pressure.

  (4) Pressure accumulating filter: Usually the pressure accumulating and filtering mechanism are combined as a whole, called the accumulating filter. The pressure accumulating filter consists of a cylinder, a filter screen, a net frame, a drain valve, a paint outlet valve, etc. Its function is to stabilize the paint pressure and avoid the momentary interruption of paint output when the plunger of the high-pressure pump reciprocates to the switching point. Another function of the accumulator filter is to filter out impurities in the paint to avoid clogging of the nozzle.

  (5) Paint conveying pipeline: The paint conveying pipeline is the paint passage between the high-pressure pump and the spray gun. It must be resistant to high pressure and paint erosion. The compressive strength is generally 12MPa-25MPa, and it should also have the function of eliminating static electricity. The paint pipeline is divided into three layers, the innermost layer is nylon tube blank, the middle layer is stainless steel wire or chemical fiber woven mesh, and the outer layer is nylon, polyurethane or polyethylene. A grounding wire must also be incorporated for grounding during spraying.
