  If the documents to be printed do not require colour, you can configure your printer to print in black and white only.

  Follow these steps if you have a computer with the Windows operating system:

  • Start your computer, then go to settings, and then select "Printers and devices."

  • Select your printing preferences now.
  • Select the advanced tab, then in the colour printing section, select black and white as the print colour.

  • Change the printing mode to black and white.
  • Now save this configuration.

If you are still unable to save the document or image as grayscale or black and white, consult the "Help" section of your software application.

  In the printer :

  • You can configure the printer to print in black and white. Printing without replacing the colour is as simple as following the instructions below.
  • Go to your printer's control panel and select home.
  • Select either copy document or copy photo.
  • Then choose the Black and white option.
  • Then click OK to save the default.
  • Depending on the printer model, you can prepare your document or photo for copying and printing.
