Overview

  • To the delight of fans, Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 was released a day early this week, on Wednesday. You can also get up close and personal with your favorite islanders thanks to the exciting new Pro Camera feature.

Among the many new features available in New Horizons 2.0 are boat rides, more home decorating options, the return of gyroids, communal stretching, and ordinance surveys, to name a few. New Horizons 2.0 is available now for download from the official website. However, the POV camera setting, which allows you to take photos from the point of view of your islander, is perhaps the most exciting of them all. Do you still require a Nintendo Switch in order to begin your Animal Crossing adventure? Then look into the best Nintendo Switch deals available.

That's right, you can now photograph your favorite island residents from the point of view of the islanders themselves. Once you have accumulated 1500 Nook Miles (an in-game currency), you will be able to purchase the Pro Camera App from the Resident Services. The Pro Camera App now includes new settings that allow you to take photos from both the character's and your own point of view. It also includes a 'tripod mode,' which allows you to set up the camera and run into the photo with your favorite islanders. The ability to participate in mini in-game photo shoots with your favorite characters is absolutely adorable, and animal crossing bells for sale think it's fantastic that we now have a completely different perspective on the AC universe.

The excitement doesn't end there, however, as the update includes a slew of other new and exciting features (including a return of fan favorite Brewster the barista pigeon). Kapp'n's Boat Tour also allows you to travel to other islands and see what they have to offer. Kapp'n will serenade you with sea shanties as he transports you to new and exciting islands to discover. It's possible that the new islands will have entirely different plants for you to pick, or that they will be in a completely different season than your island. There will also be opportunities to find Gyroid pieces on the new islands, which will eventually be combined to form the small (and extremely adorable) musical ornaments that were featured in the previous Animal Crossing games.

Harv's island now boasts an exciting market, where you can shop at all of your favorite trader's stores, including Kicks and Sally, as well as a variety of other unique shops. To help get the market up and running, you'll need to contribute some bells, of course (Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a capitalist society, after all). You will also be able to visit The Roost, a new café within the museum where you can enjoy pigeon-brewed coffee with your favorite islanders or with your group of friends.

Additionally, there are numerous other endearing updates, such as group stretching at the plaza, ordinances to help you organize your island, more home customization options, cooking, and new vegetables to plant, such as potatoes and carrots, to name just a few. It appears that there is a lot to discover with the new update, and ACNH Pool Designs can't wait to explore the new islands and meet the new villagers that have been introduced into the game.

Now that the update has been released, we're looking forward to going into hibernation for the weekend and making the most of New Horizons 2.0. Aside from that, we are looking forward to playing the new Happy Home Paradise upgrade when it is released, despite the negative feedback Nintendo has received regarding the expansion pack.
