Overview

  • Have you grown tired of your current apartment? Are you shopping for a two bedroom apartment in Albuquerque NM because your situation has changed or you perhaps don't like your current location? Is it time to move or should you stick it out a little while longer? Take a look at some of the situations where moving makes more sense than staying put.

    Rent is High

Has your rent increased drastically? Are you up for renewal of your lease and you've noticed that you'll have to pay more money than you'd like for the same amount of space that you've been used to? Has the property manager not made any updates at all? If so, it may be time to move. If your landlord isn't keeping up with your community such as upgrades to the kitchen, common areas, or providing incentives for you to stay, moving out may be a great choice to get those amenities.

    Neighborhood Has Changed

Sometimes neighborhoods go downhill. Have you noticed an increase in crime? Has there been a lot of theft or people stealing catalytic converters? If so, that is a pretty good indicator it's time to find a new place to live. When crime surges, it will only get worse. You can avoid some of the pitfalls like a stolen car or an apartment that gets broken into you simply by changing your neighborhood.

    Your Interests Have Changed

Some areas offer different entertainment, activities, food, etc. If your interest or lifestyle has changed such as having kids, you may need a new rental to fit that lifestyle. For example, let's say you found out you were pregnant. You and your significant other are within a one bedroom apartment and need something bigger. Sure, you can get by with a one bedroom apartment for a little while with a child, but they quickly grow. Finding a two-bedroom apartment to accommodate your expanding family is much more ideal.

    New Work

Has your work location changed? Or, are you able to work from home? Both of these things can mean it's time for a move. Working from home, you may want to consider a two-bedroom apartment. If you started working in a neighboring city, you may want to move closer.

Different Wants and Needs In Your Unit

Did you recently get a pay increase at work? Would you like to move out of your current apartment that offers less amenities for the money? Moving to a luxury unit is a whole different experience. You'll have upgraded features like modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, great flooring, excellent views, etc. If your wants and needs have changed in your rental, don't be afraid to look for a new place.
