My issue is that I'd get a new start

Event Details

  • The game would have been identical prior to the Grand Exchange. I would have been watching television while playing RuneScape. The problem was that they sacrificed my most favorite things to make the game more enjoyable. The game no longer appealed to me. Ironically, OSRS is something that I would still like if I could return.

My issue is that I'd get a new start, and as a player with an active character in OSRS I am frustrated that my account could not be transferred into OSRS.

I was afraid of the same however, I quickly became addicted to the skill of skilling. I left the day that RS3 was launched. I haven't logged into RS3 since then. I have a Max combat account, and some 99s on it. I feel the pain of doing it over in 07, but it's also nostalgic to train again and get the Rush getting better.

It's a real challenge to start over however once I was going, I could not stop. Mobile release has been a great help. I can play Anywhere and it makes it easy. It's nice being able to learn while on breaks during lunch.

We'd love to hear if any of you are a beta tester. What do you think? Will you use it? If so, how did it go? Do you believe it will succeed? Are you sure that Jagex prepared to handle the mobile world, where cheating is just as common as in the regular game? They're doing all they can to ensure that cheaters don't exist however, I'm not convinced that all of their preventative steps are working.

I'm personally looking forward to playing in the field. It seems like I could manage the game that way, but playing in a sitting position it is not my style. This is especially true when there are so different games you can play.

This leads to more discussion about portability. With the success of Nintendo Switch, I can see why mobile devices could be a fantastic way to get people excited. However, I believe that Jagex will begin making a point of focusing Runescape on mobile users in the event that they decide to decide to do so. If you want to know more about can go
