The screw extrusion of silicone rubber extruder mixing rubber is one of the older fields of extrusion technology, which can be traced back to the 19th century. Silicone rubber extruders are significantly different from thermoplastic extruders. First, rubber extrusion is carried out at lower temperatures (up to 130 ° C). Secondly, rubber extrusion is often added to rubber strips (particulates are added only in exceptional cases), and they do not undergo phase changes or a large degree of thickening in the screw extruder system. This is not like thermoplastics. Thermoplastics are processed at a temperature of 180 ^ -300 ° C (or higher) in a screw extruder. Low-density solid pellets are often collected in the extruder.
