Hey everyone,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop for my engineering studies and could use some recommendations on the best options out there. What laptops do you think are ideal for engineering students?
Here are a few key requirements:
- Performance: Needs to handle demanding software like CAD, MATLAB, and various programming environments.
- Portability: Should be lightweight and durable, as I'll be carrying it around campus.
- Battery Life: Long battery life is a must for long study sessions and work on the go.
- Budget: Looking for options that offer good value for money.
From what I've researched so far, a few models stand out:
- Dell XPS 15: Known for its powerful performance and great display.
- MacBook Pro: Excellent build quality and smooth performance, especially for coding.
- HP Spectre x360: Versatile 2-in-1 with solid specs and battery life.
- Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon: Reliable, with a great keyboard and robust performance.
Does anyone have experience with good laptops for engineering students & these models or other recommendations? Any insights on what to look for or avoid would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best, Jonathan Jone
