  • I think it's pretty rare for an individual to be sued in this way. But if you are a company, and especially a large one, it happens regularly. In the company where I work, there was a precedent, but we simply correctly responded to a cease and desist letter and the matter was closed. We did not have to go to court because our company was not really guilty of IP infringement.
