adidas Ultra Boost Tech is a legendary shoe. Originally released in 1991, the runner was an incredible step forward in comfort and running technologies, helping to propel adidas into the modern age. Since its inception, Ultra Tech has become a bit of a cult classic. Long-time fans of the Three Stripes know it is one of the brand’s most important silhouettes, as well as one of the most popular. While it has taken on many colorways and styles over the years, the return or the original in 2018 has been welcomed with open arms back into the sneaker scene. adidas knows this, and in response, has readied two new colorways for release this season. First, one pair begins with a white mesh upper accented by black and bright red overlays for a bold look. The second is a little more subtle, featuring varying shades of blue, grey, and green balanced with minimal spots of salmon pink for a beautiful new color scheme.
The new adidas Marquee Boost is an interesting look for the brand’s basketball line. The silhouette begins with a mesh base for the upper, with several overlays crossing the midfoot for support. Additionally, the collars are molded into shape and then thickened with extra padding for better ankle support. The upper sits atop a full-length Boost midsole, which is protected by a herringbone pattern outsole for grip on the court. The lateral side of the toe appears to feature some sort of rubber or plastic barrier to provide a more stiff feel when cutting. This week, adidas has finally announced the silhouette for release. The initial offerings include a handful of colorways, including PE’s for John Wall and Kristaps Porzingis.
