Kansas City Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub took the podium Thursday for his weekly chat with the local Kansas City media. Toub spoke on a number of topics:Kicker concern?Denny Medley-USA TODAY SportsKansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker was a perfect 51 for 51 in career extra-point tries to start his career

Nobody’s harder on himself than Butker, but really, it’s the whole operation. If you looked at that play (the mixed extra point against Cleveland) in detail, we had a high snap, so it starts with James (Winchester) and then you got to get the hold down (Dustin Colquitt). Everything was rushed on that play because of the snap, and that’s part of the blame
Jarvis Jenkins Jersey , but Colquitt was still able to get the ball down—we got to be able to kick it and make it. Again, it’s a 33-yard field goal. It’s not a chip shot like it used to be.”Butker has made 14 of 15 field goals this season, as well as 39 of 41 extra points. The point systemMark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe Chiefs have a point system when it comes to special teams, and Toub said that a number of Chiefs near the top this season.“It’s real close,” Toub said. “Right now, I think the leader’s like 59 points. We’ve got like five guys within that area, so it’s a good competition and we look at that every Tuesday when we come in and give out the grade sheets and look at the board. We talk about it every day. It’s important to those guys. They compete. It’s not like we’re going to give them anything at the end. It’s a peer pressure thing. It’s a good, competitive atmosphere that we got going.”Who’s the leader with 59? Marcus Kemp.Look for Daniel Sorensen to already be involved on SundayIsaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY SportsIt is looking like safety Daniel Sorensen will be back in the lineup against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. And if he indeed does play
https://www.thechiefsfanshop.com/Tyreek-Hill-Jersey , he will “probably” be involved in special teams, per Toub.“If he’s active, we’ll get him involved,” Toub said. “He’s not going to be up and be on the sideline. Every person that’s up (on the roster) has to help us in some form or fashion. We’ve talked about it and we’ve worked him in there, so there’s a good chance you’ll see him in there.” The latestPatrick Mahomes Talks Tyreek Hill, Tom Brady and His Voice | Fox Sports2018 NFL MVP Odds: Patrick Mahomes Remains Favorite Ahead of Todd Gurley, More | Bleacher ReportEven with perpetual offensive line changes, Chiefs don’t expect to miss a beat | Kansas City StarFatal flaws that could sink Jags
