Drew Brees didn’t have a completion until the final play of the first quarter. His final pass
New Orleans Saints Customized Jerseys , one he was trying to throw away, got intercepted. And things certainly weren’t much better in between for Brees and the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints, whose 10-game winning streak ended in a 13-10 loss at the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.“We didn’t really find a rhythm pretty much the whole game,” Brees said. “We may have had one decent drive, but for the most part felt like we just didn’t really find a great rhythm with what we were doing.”He finished 18 of 28 passing for 127 yards passing, including a 30-yard touchdown to Keith Kirkwood in the third quarter on a drive when two Cowboys penalties extended the drive 鈥?a defensive holding call on third down and a roughing the punter near midfield.Brees was held to under 200 yards for the third time this season, and second week in a row. The Saints (10-2) had their season low with only 176 total yards, and their fewest points in three years 鈥?since a 24-6 loss to Houston in Week 12 of the 2015 season.“I’m not worried about it. We’ll be just fine,” running back Mark Ingram said. “We’ve still got the same playmakers. … We’re good. We’ve just got to fix it. We didn’t do enough today. We’re going to make sure this never happens again.”New Orleans also converted only three-of-11 third downs, and got stopped on fourth-and-goal from the 1 in the second quarter after a Cowboys fumble.“We weren’t really good on the early downs. We didn’t have the balance that we’ve had in prior games
New Orleans Saints T-Shirts ,” coach Sean Payton said. “We struggled running the ball with any consistency, and we didn’t want to get into a one-dimensional game.“Some games you play where you don’t’ have a lot of third downs because you’re operating efficiently, but that was the case certainly in this game,” he said.New Orleans missed a chance to perfectly match Dallas from two years ago, when then-rookie sensations Elliott and Dak Prescott won 11 straight after dropping the opener. The Cowboys (7-5) won their fourth consecutive game and assured they will at least remain tied for the NFC East lead.Alvin Kamari had 72 total yards 鈥?36 yards rushing on 11 carries and 36 yards on eight catches. His took a helmet-to-helmet blow from Jaylon Smith on a short pass when he was stopped short of a first down with about 10 minutes left.Kamari said afterward, “I’m good.”There was no penalty on the play.“What do you think?” Brees said when asked about the non-call. “Let the league deal with that.”The Saints then punted, and the Cowboys ran nearly 7 minutes off the clock while getting to the New Orleans 6 before Prescott was sacked and fumbled.“All things considered, to still have a chance to go down and tie or win the game,” Brees said. “So it’s unfortunate because we had an opportunity.”Two plays later, with Brees under pressure and trying to get rid of the ball
New Orleans Saints Hats , Jourdan Lewis made a diving interception 鈥?a play that was upheld on a replay review.Said Brees, “I was trying to throw it at his feet and kept it a little too high.”___ We back to business Who Dat Nation! I hope you all had a great bye week and are ready to roast some more bird. The Saints are traveling to Baltimore to take on one of the best ranked defenses in the league. This matchup won’t be easy but if Drew Brees is ready to say he’s beaten all 32 teams, he’s gotta make some magic happen. That magic is going to come in the form of one player that won’t be expected to shake up the game this Sunday and I’m ready to tell you all about him. As a reminder before we get to business, all of my work will be based on PPR leagues, and obvious starters like Alvin Kamara will not be written about. Each week, I will evaluate both teams and list my picks from the matchups.Start EmTre’Quan Smith:Photo by Sean Gardner/Getty ImagesYes, we’re back to Tre’Quan Smith. After the performance Smith put up against the Redskins I think it’s safe to say Tre’Quan show has begun. This Ravens defense is giving up roughly 16 points on average to Wide Receivers and their main focus should be on guardingMichael Thomas . With Smith taking the deep ball role on this team where Brandin Cooks left off. I made the prediction that he would break out in the Falcons game but it didn’t fall through. After him having his first TD ball enshrined in the HOF, Smith will be itching for more work. He is a sneaky start and could help you get that Dub. Willie Snead IV (WR):Remember the Need For Snead? He still exists but has a way uglier jersey. The Saints defense is truly coming around but they are still the most friendliest to Receivers. Let’s look at this as a revenge game and assume that Snead will get in the end zone at least once. His other team mates know he wants to shine so it’s an obvious choice to put him in your flex this week. Sit Em:Mark Ingram:I have a feeling this is going to be all Kamara. Now that Ingram is back in action it’s going to be tough to call. The Ravens only allow around 8 points on average to Running backs but AK is no normal running back. Not saying Ingram isn’t good but his run style can be a bit more traditional at times. It’s a big gamble for most but I’m not throwing him in any lineups this week. Love Mark but not against the birds that seriously will destroy you. John Brown (WR):Photo by Frederick Breedon/Getty ImagesJust don’t. I really don’t know what else to say here. Brown had an exciting and mildly promising start to this year and most thought he would become the favorite but the Saints D is woke af now and this is the start of a new team. All the puzzle pieces are here and we’re about to dominate this game. Snead is going to get a lot of targets. Michael Crabtree and Javorius Allen are gonna get theirs but not Brown. Don’t be that guy that wishes he would have listened to Chase. It’s always good to be back to football when you’re rocking Black and Gold! I hope everyone has a great Sunday and as always...WHO DAT!!!!!
