Chicago Bears mock draft."By now you guys know my feelings on mock drafts; they’re a good tool to learn about some prospective prospects for the Chicago Bears
White Adam Shaheen Jerseys , but I’m not over here trying to correctly predict how the NFL Draft will fall. There’s no way to guess how differently the 32 team’s boards will look, and then once the first trade happens everything changes anyway. In the months leading up to the draft you have “experts” claiming things like ‘there’s NO WAY this guy will last til the third round,’ and ‘there’s NO WAY that guy will go in the top ten,’ and yet every draft we see guys fall that the internet scouts were high on and guys rise that certain teams value more than others. It happens every single year. With the way the Bears attacked free agency I think Ryan Pace is is prime position to draft best player available, so with my latest mock I’ll do just that. I like taking different scenarios into to my mock drafts just to mix things up, and each year I seem to spotlight at least one guy that the Bears actuality draft.Even though I’m going with a strict BPA and taking the top option on my turn in the draft, I did give myself a few rules. 1) No doubling down on positions. While I think the Bears may do it at the real draft, I wanted to go with five different positions for my mock for educational purposes.2) No wide receivers. I think the Bears are stacked at this position with Allen Robinson II, Anthony Miller, Taylor Gabriel, and Cordarrelle Patterson, not to mention Tarik Cohen getting reps at the position, plus newcomer Marvin Hall adding more speed, and second year pro Javon Wims trying to make an impact. 3) No quarterbacks. I don’t see anyway the Bears carry three QBs on the 53-man roster, and they are content with Chase Daniel as the number two. I do think an undrafted free agent (or a 7th rounder) will be added that could fill a practice squad spot. 4) Pass on a bad scheme fit. A couple times I had to scroll past a thumping inside linebacker, because the Bears clearly have no interest in a squatty, 245 pounder.Other than that, I went with the pick that was given to me via The Draft Network’s simulation. Let’s go!Round 3 - Pick 87: Darrell Henderson
Adam Shaheen Jerseys 2019 , RB, MemphisBefore I get into Henderson, if the actual draft falls anyway like the one I simmed, the Bears will have their choice of a lot of running backs. There were several backs at the top of my board when it was the Bears’ turn to pick in each round.Henderson (5’8”, 208) was highly productive for the Tigers with 1,909 yards rushing in 2018 with 22 touchdowns. He wasn’t just a flash in the pan either as his three-year yards per carry average was a robust 8.2.Round 4 - Pick 126: Foster Moreau, TE, LSUMoreau only had 52 catches for 629 yards during his four year career, but he’s mostly known as a blocking tight end. He’s above average in both run blocking and in pass protection, but at the NFL Combine his athleticism flashed. Round 5 - Pick 162: Sheldrick Redwine, S, MiamiHe played some corner early in his collegiate career, but he definitely plays with the physicality of a safety. He had 3 sacks and 3 interceptions as a senior.Round 7 - Pick 222: Jimmy Moreland, CB, James MadisonIt was reported that Moreland had a nice week of practice at the Senior Bowl, which he followed up with a nice showing at his pro day by running as fast as a 4.38 forty. The 5’10”, 175 pounder is projected as a nickleback.Round 7 - Pick 238: Isaiah Prince, OT
White Mitchell Trubisky Jerseys , Ohio StateI was glad to see an offensive lineman pop up in this mock board, and Prince is an intriguing prospect. He’s a three year starter at right tackle in the Big 10, and while he gets a little high at times and looks stiff, he has very good hands. He’s the type project that could develop into a starting right tackle with some better technique. Any of these players makes sense for the Bears in his BPA mock? Megapunt is back, the Packers & Vikings are tight on money and the Lions? Well... They are the Lions..."BEAR DOWN, CHICAGO BEARS, BEAR DOWN!!!!BEARRRSSSS / FREE AGENCY / DRAFTWood: How Well has Ryan Pace drafted?
