Normally, 75-80 °C under load is normal for a mid-range to high-end notebook. Anything above that and performance starts to drop due to “thermal throttling,” a safety measure implemented in most computers that reduces the clock frequency to bring the
temperature to safe levels.
The laptop keeps things cool at 45-50 degrees in low-performance mode and 60-70 degrees in a high-performance mode for most games. In extreme cases, it jumps up to 80-90 degrees at maximum settings in High-Performance mode for those high-end games. The only game that makes my laptop a higher than acceptable temperature while playing is Mount and Blade Bannerlord.
If your laptop exceeds these temperatures, check the resolution, graphics, etc.
