INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert insists he would gladly welcome back Antonio Brown next season. If things don’t work out
Drew Lock Jersey , Colbert has a plan for that, too.Colbert addressed the rampant rumors about Brown’s future Wednesday by saying he would only trade the Steelers’ star receiver if he gets equal value in return — and preferably to a team outside the AFC North.“Ideally, you’d want to trade him to somebody you’ll never play but that can’t happen because if you’re good enough to get to the Super Bowl you’ll have to play him anyway,” Colbert said while answering a hypothetical question. “The less you would play him the better. But if a team you play twice a year comes through with the best compensation, you have to weigh that into the discussions. We haven’t ruled out anybody.”What Colbert has ruled out is giving away one of the league’s top playmakers at a bargain price — even as some believe Brown’s price has continued to drop as he lobbies for a trade.Just last week, after Brown met with Steelers president Art Rooney II

He declined to name any teams involved.“Antonio Brown is one of the best players in the NFL and we’d like to have him on the team,” Colbert said before addressing what he’d seek in a deal. “It would take significant compensation just to balance out the loss of a player of that value.”Brown has topped the 100-catch and 1,000-yard marks each of the past six seasons and has had at least 10 touchdown catches in five of those six seasons. In the wild world of NFL free agency it is rare to see a player like Jerry Rice that played all the years in his prime with the San Francisco 49ers. In today's NFL, star receivers are seen more as nomads rather than homegrown heroes. There are exceptions to this in today’s game, with star receivers like Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas playing with one team for their whole careers. Teams who have built their receiving core through the draft like the Packers and Steelers are also outliers. Teams are more likely to have one guy they drafted and the rest of the receivers that were either signed in free agency or traded for. Historically the wide receiver position has been labeled as the diva of the roster that causes drama in the locker room and throws fits. With that being the case, in today's social media era, receivers get disgruntled and switch teams now more than ever. It seems like every year there is a marquee talent at this position that admits publicly that he wants to be traded to another team. Here is the list of 8 current wide receivers that would benefit from a change of scenery. Some of these players have had great careers with their team, but deserve a shot at a Super Bowl with a contender. Other players who made the list are on there because they are frustrated with their current situation
Justice Hill Jersey , and want a bigger role in the offence. Regardless of why they are on the list, these receivers would be much better off if they played for these new teams rather than their current ones.
