Armod 150 tablet is primarily used to treat excessive drowsiness in people with narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). It is a member of the class of drugs called as "eugeroics or wakefulness-promoting medicines" (SWD). Frequent breathing pauses while you sleep are a symptom of the sleep disorder obstructive sleep apnea. Narcolepsy, a chronic sleep condition, causes extreme daytime sleepiness. Due to atypical work schedules including graveyard shifts, early morning shifts, or rotational shifts, a condition known as shift work sleep disorder is characterised by trouble falling asleep or being too drowsy.

Pills include the "Armodafinil" component, a sort of "central nervous system (CNS) stimulant." It works by stimulating the brain, which then improves the body's physical and mental processes. The levels of a few particular chemical messengers necessary for the sleep cycle are altered by armodafinil. Thus, it promotes energy and alertness while reducing excessive sleepiness.
