DaaS is offered by a Third-Party Cloud Service Provider which offers businesses Virtual Desktops. These Virtual Desktops are centered by the data centers housed off-premises, which makes the service different from a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

DaaS works by hosting the back-end of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), catered by the power and resources from the Data centers which are supervised by Virtual Machines. On these Virtual Machines installed are the operating Systems, which are accessed by the end-user.
