EA's lootboxe program has made games neglect (Battlefront 2), so they are not doing it again. They do the ubisoft failed with Rainbow six or blizzard siege and Overwatch. However, with less material overall and no guarantee it will last on year 2. (And, the a personal guess, but I feel that the"free stuff" for the first year are just features that should happen to be in the base game but have been stretched out because of a lack of development time).
  
  Agreed. I performed TThe Division 2 and liked it, but didn't like how the original stats systems performed. Didn't enjoy that guns was a stat, and that authoritative wasn't felt by electronics. I am thankful that they removed the guns stat, making that a skill based element of the game, while focusing on health, amror and...    less
