Animal Crossing Items precisely the same sentence as Hades. Hades is among the most well tuned and well designed games I have ever playedhundreds of hours of recorded dialogue that provide a deep storyline to go with fast speed gameplay that also includes high replay value.
You are surprised that a real time village sim has different game design to some rogue lite? Hades is awesome without a doubt, but Animal Crossing is good at what it will too. It may not be your cup of tea, but for those who are into it it's superb. My mom plays with it daily and contains almost 700 hours in it.
Yeah, the battle definitely is a kind Hack and slash (for me there could be a little bit more enemies to be authentic h'n's - but that is personal). However, in my opinion there is more than the kind of combat required to be complete in this genre - elements like looting (especially durable equipment ), more RPG like elements.
My guess for its second cookie is the fact that it is going to become ninja and Waring-States era themed, and the fortress up there will be the 5-star product. Though I also suspect the Gyroidite event will have at least a few of the ninja-themed items.
