What have changed in armor since the huge changes in
RS gold combat? According to what I've seen to date, these are my questions: Does armour not offer any more attack bonuses? What incentive should I use for armour that is appropriate to my class? The new d'hide/ purple robes/ rune seem to have the same defensive/life bonuses. How does this work? Are those robes as safe as rune? What is the reason I would wear rune?
Theroretically, as offensive bonuses are no longer derived from armor If I'm a safespotting archer or mage, wearing inferior armor should not put me at a disadvantage when compared to someone who wears the most effective armor. Are you sure?
This isn't an armor issue, however spiders are simple to squash. What are their weaknesses? How can I tell which element of spells is most suitable for dealing with the creatures? What kind of weapon should I choose? or should I forget completely about trying to use anything besides melee against them?
I've heard most of the weapons are balanced now and is this the same case for armor? AKA: Will I be able use chain mail to crush enemy without losing my defensive bonuses? In addition to medium helms, square shields have been updated to allow them to be more effective. The latest update is confusing and I have a lot to learn. Any assistance is welcome. Thank you!
