    The popular and long-running online role-play video game franchise RS Gold will be coming to tabletop gaming with two new games due to launch later this year. Game developer and publisher of RuneScape, Jagex, has come together with the top tabletop gaming company Steamforged Games to create both an online game and a tabletop gaming book for roleplaying games inspired by RuneScape's rich fantasy the world of Gielinor.

    Both games are set to debut in 2022 The board game going live with Kickstarter in 2022, and TTRPG being released to retailers. The games will feature adventures, characters and locations from the RuneScape's lengthy history of more than 21 years. the board game taking between up to five players on quest-based missions through Gielinor.

    They'll make and improve their equipment, train their characters prepare special meals, engage with NPCs and test their abilities while exploring various areas across the globe, and with a variety of enticing side quests to keep them busy and entertain them on their route.

    The TTRPG will include a lavishly illustrated, hardback book with rules for players to play an RuneScape tabletop role-playing game in which they can build personal characters. They can explore Gielinor as well as create original adventurous quests. The TTRPG core book is also totally compatible with fifth edition ruleset of the tabletop tabletop roleplaying game.

    Mat Hart, Creative director and CCO of Steamforged stated: "The rich RuneScape universe will work beautifully with tabletop and board games, and the use of crowdfunding platforms and other dedicated community spaces allows us to engage directly with the fans from RuneScape along with Old School RuneScape throughout development with RS 2007 Items."

    Steamforged Games also has revealed the first glimpse and some of the main features of the Dark Souls tabletop roleplaying game that will launch in the spring of 2022. The game was first announced in December and followed by an unexpected trailer launch Steamforged has now confirmed Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game will be a stand-alone RPG powered by fifth-edition rules that are enhanced by Dark Souls mechanics.
