Although that may sound reasonable initially

In the last week, just a few hours before the updated Runelite HD was due for an official release 117 was approached by Jagex in a letter requesting that work cease immediately and that the release be delayed. This time, however, the issue isn't due to copyright claims, but instead because Jagex has stated that they're preparing the own HD upgrade with RS Gold.

Although that may sound reasonable initially, there's a massive issue. Runelite HD doesn't actually seem to violate any Jagex rules for modding, and the company claims that new guidelines to clarify the fact Runelite HD does actually break its rules will be out next week.

Mod creator 117 states that they tried to bargain with Jagex by offering the option of removing their mod after the company had finished it and had released its own effort However, "they declined outright," apparently indicating the end for a project that taken up "approximately around 2000 hours of work over two years."To assist players in reaching this, powerful relics are been discovered all over the world for players to earn from skilling, minigames, and overcoming powerful bosses. They give powerful buffs and bizarre modifications for any character who acquires them, acting as crucial boons that are needed to take on the upper echelon of content available. For those who are open to trying new things with these relics, they can be combined to produce extraordinary skill sets.

It's true that I haven't jumped into Old School RuneScape for some time. Because of Shattered League looking to mix up the typical levelling experience with a sweet experience-gain multiplier that makes your whole experience much quicker, this might just be the reason I was looking to return to it.

These leagues have already proven successful at garnering the attention of the Old School RuneScape community, with the former Trailblazer league back in 2020 welcoming around 170,000 players concurrently. Hoping that the league will prove just as popular this time around.

The Shattered League is running from today through March 3. So if you've been meaning to return to Old School RuneScape, this might be the right time to take the plunge. If you're thinking of jumping in to Old School RuneScape, let us know what you think below!

Runescape and Outriders aren't the only two games that gamers will imagine playing in tandem so the sight of a Runescape player post on r/Outriders can be a bit of a surprise. Nonetheless, this led to an enjoyable post and interaction between fans of both OSRS Gold games. The whole thing boils down to one previous Jagex employee: David Osborne, otherwise popularly known within the Runescape community as Mod Osborne.
