Kate Middleton's flowing dress had a Flattering Detail

Kate Middleton looks amazing while playing soccer, so it's a surprise when she does.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited their home area in Cambridgeshire this week to enjoy a full two of days. They saw their first joint portrait, worked on art and crafts with East Anglia's Children's Hospice children, and visited Newmarket Racecourse's Cambridgeshire County Day.

The second occasion was a special one. Kate wore a flowy mid-length dress from L.K. Bennett and a pair of wedges that were laced up to kick at a soccer ball. In the earlier part of the day the duchess was wearing the long blue baby coat, but when she removed it, she showed the most fun and flattering detail of her blue long sleeve dress -- and it's just perfect for the summer months.

What's the point? Flutter sleeves. The loose, short sleeve style drapes gently over the shoulders and flares outwards. Not only is it an adorable, feminine, and attractive design However, flutter sleeves can be very practical. They're light and allow greater airflow in the underarms, which is important when the temperature is hot.

A flutter-sleeved dress is an excellent choice for those going to baby showers or brunch with friends summer soirees, or an outdoor wedding. Imagine bouncing around on the dance floor in the lively and flirty style. This is why stars are flocking to the look for every occasion.

Drew Barrymore wore a floral dress with flutter sleeves at an NYC event, Nicky Hilton recently wore an elegant maxi dress with lace sleeves to her baby shower, and Reese Witherspoon shared a photo in a gingham pink dress with a shorter version of flattering sleeves.

Do you feel inspired to add an item to your wardrobe? There are many affordable flutter sleeves dresses that you can pick from. Some are reminiscent of Kate's dress, for example, this one from peacebird.
