Corey Vereen is dropping out of the XFL one week after .
Vereen's agency, Logan Brown Sports, released a statement Wednesday saying the player
Dallas Cowboys Men Jersey "will not be in the XFL with the current pay scale." The salary for players is something that hasn't really been made public. A report came out earlier this month claiming theaverage player salary will be$55,000.
Here's what was on Oct. 11:
XFL players will make an average salary of $55,000 a year, the upstart league wrote in a memo distributed to player agents.
The memo states that players
Dallas Cowboys Pants who are drafted and retained by XFL teams will become full-time employees as of December 4, 2019, and if they remain on a roster they will remain employed through May 31, 2020. Between the base salary, a bonus for being active on game days and a bonus for being on the winning team, the average player will make $55,000 a year.

On Friday October 11, 2019, the XFL league office made players and agents aware of the player compensation and payroll for the new league. The salary schedule did not come close to matching what was talked about rampantly throughout the XFL combine workouts and was discu sed online by many different sources. The statements adds Vereen would reconsider rejoining the league "when salaries reach an appropriate minimum."

Vereen spoke with ESPN and on his decision.
"How are you going to sit here and get all these people together and try to get the best talent for your league and pay them $27,000?" Vereen said to ESPN. "I love the game. I'm not doing that, unfortunately. It looked like a great opportunity."
Vereen went undrafted in 2017 and had a brief stint with the Patriots.
