Giants vs. Washington final score results WFT wins on second

    The Washington Football Team, led by backupquarterback Taylor Heinicke, got their first win of the season Thursday night,30-29 over the Giants.

    Washington's Dustin Hopkins kicked a 43-yard field goal with no time remaining, on his second attempt at a game-winning kick. He mi sed from 48 but theGiants' Dexter Lawrence was flagged for offside. Hopkins then converted on the second chance.

    Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had quite the game. He set a franchise record with 95 rushing yards, and he also threw for 249 yards and touchdown. He had a 58-yard TD run in the second quarter nullified by a holding penalty. The holding call, Lawrence's penalty and a dropped pa s in the end zone by Darius Slayton all contributed greatly to the lo s.

    The Giants (0-2) took Genesis Cabrera Jersey the early lead and then kept answering Washington (1-1). They could have gone up by a touchdown after forcing the game's only turnover,an interception, with 2:22 remaining, but the driveresulted only in a Graham Gano field goal and a two-point lead.
