I am not exactly sure if the event is working as planned. Right now, Stormwind is completely overrun with ghouls that are rampaging through the streets and slaughtering everything that moves. The Classic gold wow auction house, vendors, and even the bank are unusable--which may be frustrating for players who, when the event is really reside, are just trying to go about their day to day business.

Over on the WoW subreddit, players have also found ways to attract the zombie infestation outside capital cities, making whole areas of Azeroth uninhabitable.

Fortunately, WoW game designer Jeremy Feasel confirmed the zombie invasion portion of the event will only be busy for a couple of hours throughout the day instead of all the time. I am actually a bit disappointed by that, honestly, because I believe it'd be interesting to see an all-out, 24/7 invasion that players have to attempt to contain--something similar to World of Warcraft's infamous Corrupted Blood incident.

The Scourge Invasion is just 1 part of Shadowlands' pre-launch event. Players may also venture into the frigid wastes of Northrend to fight bosses and make strong loot, and there is also a new narrative quest to test out.

Otherwise, you can wait till the event inevitably starts sometime in the forthcoming months.

Since publishing our initial story, YouTuber and Reddit user'KokushiGG' has published a brand new video showing off Ray Traced Shadows in the new zones at the growth. You'll discover the video down below. As with yesterday's screenshots, we may see the difference in Shadows is quite minimal with all the new feature enabled. Enabling Ray Traced Shadows, however, does appear to greatly affect operation with FPS falling from 120FPS to 60FPS in some cases.

Ray Traced Shadows in World of Warcraft Shadowlands have now been allowed on the game's Beta/PTR, and the first comparison shots have surfaced on the internet.

Back in April of this year, Blizzard additional Ray Traced Shadow options to the game's Alpha. Unfortunately, actual Ray Traced Shadows weren't allowed just yet and people from the Alpha were only able to observe the new choices. According to the option's description, it"improves shadow quality together with beam design, which generates shadows with buy wow gold classic much more natural softness, greatly improved precision, and from additional light sources"
