In the initial development phase, detailed predictions of the finished product must be made. Especially for high-performance plastics used in automobiles and exposed to large temperature changes, potential deformation must be predicted. "
By extensively measuring directly on materials and injection moulded specimens, the simulation tool provides a comprehensive characterization of the material over temperature. Instead of using a single temperature for simulation, the typical thermal stress for different applications can be recalculated.
The effects of fibre orientation in the components that determine thermomechanical behaviour are considered by the integration of process simulation. The simulation thus carried out is more detailed because it takes into account not only the rheological and thermal properties but also the orientation of the fibres obtained by injection moulding. This rigour makes it possible to identify component defects and prevent them from starting from the initial stage.
