Dr. Sumit Bansal is a well-known name for advanced urology and kidney transplant in Delhi NCR. With a rich surgical experience of over a decade, he is currently appointed as a senior consultant at Fortis hospital, Vasant Kunj, and Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. Dr. Bansal completed his super specialization (MCh Urology and Kidney transplant) at the prestigious Sion municipal medical college and hospital (LTMMC & LTMGH), Mumbai, which is among the highest volume centers in the country. He received F.A.G.E(Fellowship academy of general education) in 2013 and was awarded Robotic Surgeons’ Council Of India Scholarship in 2017.
During his past assignments as a consultant in the core transplant team at Narayana health Gurugram and Delhi, he was instrumental in taking the department to new heights. Dr. Bansal has over 100 kidney transplants to his credit with more than 98% success rate. He is amongst the very few urologists with expertise in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy for live donor kidney transplants.
With experience in successfully treating more than 5000 urological stone patients, dr Bansal has helped more than 20 hospitals in and around Gurgaon in beginning minimally invasive/endoscopic laser procedures for kidney stone removal. He is proficient with laser/minimally invasive management of urological stones, prostate disorders, urological cancers, urethral stricture disease, male sexual disorders, and infertility. He has multiple national and international publications and has also authored textbook chapters.
