  When I had a puppy, the feeling was incredible. When I asked for advice around me, I was told that obedience classes or training were necessary while it's still a puppy because that way, it will be better able to socialize around when it grows up. I found that advice very helpful. And you know what? It saved me from a lot of trouble I saw many other dog owners get into.
  The primary reason why you, as a dog owner, can get into trouble is that your dog never received the proper training. I always recommend my friends or family members who get a new dog to ensure their pet is trained and behaves well around others. And around other dogs too! An ill-behaved or undisciplined dog can get you into an embarrassing situation, and you don't want to end up in one. Trust me. I have been told by many friends how their pets embarrassed them. The feeling is really not good.
