Today we are going to understand the function of heat resistant steel castings and analyze the elements and their functions.
Elements formed by ferrite such as chromium, aluminum and silicon can promote the formation of dense oxide film on the metal surface at high temperature to prevent further oxidation, and are the main elements for improving the oxidation resistance of steel and resisting high-temperature gas corrosion. However, the high content of aluminum and silicon will seriously deteriorate the room temperature plasticity and thermoplasticity. Chromium can significantly increase the recrystallization temperature of low alloy steel. When the content is 2%, the strengthening effect is the best.

Shenynang Gongda Heavy Equipment Manufacturing is a professional manufacturer and supplier of Ni-hard iron castings. Now let's talk about the production of this casting. Interested friends will go ahead and look at it.
1. Casting process Nickel hard cast iron can be cast by sand mold or metal mold with linear shrinkage rate of 1.6% ~ 2.0%, usually 1.8%. The casting process is the same as that of ordinary white cast iron. Risers are usually used and sprues enter the casting through risers to form good sequential solidification conditions.
2. Melting nickel hard cast iron is preferably done by electric furnace (induction furnace or electric arc furnace) in order to control chemical composition and tapping temperature. Ni. Hardl and Ni-Hard2 are smelted in cupola in some countries, but Ni-Hard4 is not easy to be smelted in cupola so as not to cause burning loss of alloy elements, especially chromium elements. Chromium is easy to combine with carbonization to form carbides, which makes the carbon content unable to be accurately controlled. The determination of nickel and chromium content should consider the casting wall thickness. In order not to precipitate graphite in the structure, there should be a proper fit between C, Si, Cr and the wall thickness of the casting.
3. The melting point of cast nickel hard cast iron is higher than that of gray cast iron, and its fluidity is lower than that of gray cast iron. Therefore, its casting temperature should be higher than that of gray cast iron. Usually, the pouring temperature of nickel hard cast iron is 1400℃, for thick and large castings, the pouring temperature can be appropriately reduced, but should not be lower than 1350℃.

Sustainable development has become an urgent need. Especially for foundry, foundry in our country is a traditional basic industry, at the same time, it is also a high investment, high consumption and high pollution industry.
The trend of "three highs" in foundry industry has prompted the industry to seek a new development mode-green management.
We have rich experience in the production of steel castings, steel ingots and other products, and the steel castings provided by the company are recognized by our customers. Many customers are very interested in how to improve the density of steel castings. We will simply summarize the knowledge of the density of steel castings for you.
1. If the density of steel castings is high, casting defects such as bubble cracks and the like will not occur, thus reducing the rejection rate of products.
2. High density steel castings are suitable for use as precision steel castings, and the steel structure of steel castings will be more accurate.
3. The density of steel castings has a great influence on toughness. The higher the density of steel castings, the higher the toughness.

... moreSteel Castings are similar to cast iron parts in performance, but the strength of steel castings is better. Steel castings are prone to defects such as air holes and inaccurate angular positioning during casting. The casing will break when used for a long time. Therefore, the steel castings must be tested before they are put into use.
For small and medium-sized steel casting users, direct current method, rod threading method, magnetic flux method and coil method can be used for detection, because such castings, especially investment casting precision castings, are small in volume, light in weight and small in processing capacity, and it is better to use direct current or pulsating direct current for detection. If the casting is large in volume or heavy in weight, it is better for the user to use a portable magnetic particle flaw detector with direct current or half-wave rectification to detect the local part of the casting. Due to the large volume, it is generally appropriate to select and detect in two mutually perpendicular directions.
In the process of testing steel castings, it is better not to test immediately after casting, because steel castings will have casting stress, and some defects such as cracks will delay cracking, so the testing time is preferably one to two days after casting. If the detected defects of steel castings exceed the acceptance standard, they will be rejected, but repair welding can be allowed. Attention should be paid to delay the generation of cracks during repair welding.
