How Many Days Required for Char Dham Yatra?

Char Dham Yatra is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage that cover four famous religious sites, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath. If you start your yatra from Delhi, first you need to visit Haridwar from there your yatra will start.

By starting your spiritual journey with Yamunotri, the first dham among four. Then, you will proceed to Kedarnath which is one of the famous temples dedicated to the Lord Shiva and to reach Kedarnath you need to go through Gaurikund which is approx. 16 km trek to the temple. After that, you will head to the other two remaining Dhams, Gangotri and Badrinath.

It took almost 12 to 14 days to complete Char Dham Yatra from Delhi. If you have not enough time, you can use helicopter service to complete journey in shorter time. You can also use helicopter service for only Kedarnath and Badrinath as the Yatra to these two Dhams are difficult. You should still spare at least 10 to 12 days to complete the yatra with ease. Helicopter service might not available all the time as it depends on factors such as weather, delay timing and other reasons that affect the service.
