How Many Days are Required for Char Dham Yatra?

Char Dham Yatra usually takes 10 to 12 days depending on your itinerary and mode of transport. The route is in Uttarakhand and passes through four holy places: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Each place is located in the Himalayas and requires time for travel, darshan and acclimatization.

Yamunotri (2 Days): Start your yatra with Yamunotri, the origin of River Yamuna. A trek of 6 km from Janki Chatti is required.

Gangotri (2 Days): Next visit Gangotri the source of River Ganga. The scenic drive and spiritual vibes make it memorable.

Kedarnath (3 Days): Kedarnath involves a 16 km trek or a helicopter ride for quicker access. It is one of Lord Shiva’s 12 Jyotirlingas.

Badrinath (2 Days): Conclude your yatra at Badrinath dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple’s setting amidst snowy peaks is beautiful.

Travel time between these shrines adds up, and weather conditions may influence the schedule. For Char Dham Yatra 2025, consider booking a well-organized package that covers accommodation, transportation, and guided treks for a hassle-free experience.
