Aluminum Solid Panel in Actual Production
From the point of production technology, aluminum hollow panel and Aluminum Solid Panel(ALUBANG) are extruded after aluminum rod heating. The difference between the two lies in the different extrusion dies used. What extrusion dies are used for the two profiles? The following is a brief introduction to their differences.
1. Aluminum hollow slab
During the processing of aluminum hollow slabs, a plane split-flow combined extrusion die is generally adopted, which is composed of an upper die and a lower die. The components of the upper die include shunt holes, die cores, working belts and blank knives, etc. The components of the lower die include welding chambers, die holes, working belts and blank knives, etc. The main working principle is that materials enter the die cavity from the shunt holes, aluminum alloy is reasonably distributed by the shunt holes, the size of the shunt holes is determined according to the cross section size of the aluminum profile, and the shunt holes are slightly inclined outward during extrusion to reduce the pressure in the die cavity. The internal shape of the profile is mainly fixed by the die core. Only when the height of the lower die welding chamber is above 10mm can the die core be kept stable. The aluminum alloy material of the shunt hole is collected in the welding chamber and then flows out of the die opening under the action of high temperature and high pressure.
2. Aluminum solid panel
The aluminum solid panel does not need upper and lower dies when processing, it only needs one die to process and then extrude. The extrusion die is relatively simple. Although the aluminum solid panel is heavier than the aluminum hollow panel, has stronger extrusion capacity and is more robust, in actual production, the aluminum hollow panel is more widely used than the aluminum solid panel.
