I'm trying to decide between thermal hunting scopes and traditional night vision scopes for my hunting needs.

For those who have used both types of scopes, how do they compare in terms of performance, image clarity, target detection, and overall effectiveness? What are the key advantages and disadvantages of thermal scopes versus traditional night vision scopes in a hunting context?
