Make sure the carriage moves freely across the width of the printer.

1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the ink cartridges.
3. Gently move the carriage to the far right of the printer.
4. Remove the paper from the paper In tray, but do not remove the drawer.
5. Remove the two-sided printing accessory or rear access door.
6. With your fingers, rotate the rollers “up” three full rotations.
7. Push the two-sided printing accessory or rear access door back into the printer until it snaps firmly into place. (Do not press the buttons on the ends of the module while replacing it.)
8. Reinstall the ink cartridges.
9. Plug the power cord into the printer.
10. Turn on the power.

Try to print. If the error persists, check for jammed paper in another area of the printer.
