Is hair weaving permanent?

  • Hair weaving fixes hair loss or thin hair for a short time. It adds extra hair to the real hair using different ways like sewing, glue, or other methods. It stays for weeks or months but needs to come out or be redone because real hair grows and needs care.

One popular method is sewing, where extra hair is sewn to tight braids of real hair. It lasts six to eight weeks but needs good care to avoid harm to the scalp and hair. Gluing uses glue to stick the extra hair, but it only lasts a few weeks. Clip-in hair extensions can be removed every day and are not long-lasting.

Though hair weaving adds volume, length, and easy styling, it has downsides. Regular use can put stress on the scalp, causing hair breakage or thin hair if not done right. Good care, like washing, moisturizing, and letting the real hair rest between uses, is key to stopping damage.
