Nikita Kucherov Jersey . He sure didnt lose his power stroke while nursing his troublesome neck the past two weeks. Cuddyer homered and hit a two-run double after being activated earlier in the day, Tyler Chatwood beat San Francisco for the second time in seven days and the Colorado Rockies blanked the Giants 5-0 on Friday night. "Good, good, the necks good," Cuddyer said. "It felt great. Being able to go out there and help us get the win was nice. I felt comfortable in the box, I didnt feel like Id missed much time. In the grand scheme of things I really didnt miss that much time." Carlos Gonzalez also hit a solo homer and D.J. LeMahieu added an RBI single as the Rockies beat two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum (3-4) for the second time in a week. Gonzalez was fortunate to play at all. Before the game, a fan threw him a ball point pen to sign an autograph and it hit Gonzalez -- who didnt see it coming -- just under the left eye. "I still signed it, with a bloody pen," he said, chuckling. "Incredible, ahhh?" The Rockies, swept in a three-game series at AT&T Park last month, won their fourth in a row in the rivalry for the first time since 2006. Colorado also snapped a nine-game losing streak at AT&T Park with its first win in the waterfront ballpark since Aug. 10, 2012. San Francisco was shut out at home for the first time since that same game, also started and won by Chatwood (3-0) -- he beat Lincecum that day, too. "Its pretty neat to do that against that lineup," Chatwood said. "Theyre a great hitting team. Any time you can have success against a lineup like that, its big." Cuddyers two-out double in the first gave Colorado a quick cushion, then he connected for his eighth home run with a solo shot leading off the sixth. He also scored two runs after returning to the Rockies lineup from the 15-day disabled list. Cuddyer, batting fifth and playing right field after missing time with an inflamed cervical disk, went 2 for 4 with three RBIs. Gonzalez homered leading off the eighth against Sandy Rosario, Gonzalezs team-leading 12th clout. "I felt pretty good physically," Lincecum said. "Mechanically I felt good. Just a couple of pitches that got away from me and they really made me pay for it." Lincecum struck out eight and walked two over seven innings in his second consecutive start against Colorado and third in all this year. The right-hander allowed four runs and seven hits after taking the loss against the Rockies at Coors Field last Saturday. He has defeats in four of his past five decisions. He has allowed 16 earned runs in his past 18 innings against the Rockies this season for an 8.00 ERA. "I just have to stop making mistakes up in the zone against them," he said. "If I miss with my spots they have to be down or away. But things are right in the middle of the plate." Chatwood allowed four hits in six scoreless innings, struck out four and walked one in another lopsided Rockies result against the reigning World Series champions. Colorado shut out San Francisco 5-0 in the series finale in Denver last Sunday. The Rockies (27-21) remained in a first-place tie with Arizona atop the NL West standings after the Diamondbacks beat San Diego in Phoenix, with the Giants one game back. "Theyve dominated us every time here," Gonzalez said. "That gives us a lot of confidence when you can win a series against a team that won the championship a couple of times the last few years." San Franciscos Marco Scutaro went 0 for 3 after having hit safely in each of his previous 15 games against Colorado, his former club before being traded to the Giants last July. But the Giants generated few opportunities against Chatwood and the Colorado bullpen. Wilton Lopez, the Rockies third reliever, finished the five-hit shutout. Notes: Rockies manager Walt Weiss said RHP Rafael Betancourt would not need a DL stint for his groin injury. He threw a light bullpen before the game and was available to close the game. ... San Francisco starter Ryan Vogelsong, who had surgery on his broken right hand Tuesday, is keeping his sense of humour about an injury that will sideline him about two months. "I hit myself in the face last night, sleeping with it," he said of the heavily wrapped hand. "That didnt feel too good." He wears a sling sometimes, which "kind of tells everyone not to run into me." Manager Bruce Bochy said the Giants would announce their fill-in for Vogelsongs spot Tuesday at Oakland after Sundays finale with Colorado. ... A decision about whether Giants RHP Santiago Casilla would have arthroscopic surgery was expected soon. ... Weiss plans to continue resting young C Wilin Rosario for day games after night games to keep him fresh. ... The Giants lost in one of Lincecums starts for only the fifth time in the past 16 dating to last season.
Brett Howden Jersey . Carey Price didnt, but he still came out on top against one of his rivals for the No. 1 job at the Sochi Games. The Anahim Lake, B.C., native was stellar in making 39 saves in his home province and Lars Eller got credit for a bizarre short-handed winner as the Canadiens defeated the Canucks 4-1.
Steven Stamkos Jersey . To the surprise of many, it isnt the Wolverines but their in-state rivals the Michigan State Spartans.

Argentina boasts Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Angel Di Maria. ORLANDO, Fla. -- Theres one more hurdle in third-ranked Clemsons quest to get back to the College Football Playoff -- Saturday nights Atlantic Coast Conference championship game against No. 19 Virginia Tech.Win, and the Tigers (11-1, No. 3 CFP) are a lock for a berth in the national semifinals for the second straight season.Lose, and the dream of resolving unfinished business in January is over for Deshaun Watson and Co.Its all about the finish now, coach Dabo Swinney said Friday. The headline everybody is going to remember is the last one.For the record, Swinney was talking about his teams ACC aspirations. In reality, anything short of making it back to next months national title game -- and winning -- will be a huge disappointment for a team still drawing motivation from a six-point loss to Alabama in last seasons final.Underdog Virginia Tech (9-3, No. 23 CFP) is intent on not only showing up , but making the most of its first appearance in the ACC championship game since 2011.The Hokies, who last won the conference title in six years ago, reject the notion that all the pressure is on Clemson.Thats not where were at mentally. We know we have a tremendous challenge. We know were playing a well -coached, talented football team. But we didnt do all this work just to get here. We still have work left to do, Hokies coach Justin Fuente said. Our kids are prepared that way. And we know we have to play extremely well in order to get it close there at the end. But Ive stayed away from (saying) `youve got nothing to lose because I dont believe that, Fuente, the ACC coach of the year, added. I think weve got a great opportunity, and weve got a great group of kids that have worked incredibly hard for this opportunity.Five things to know about the first ACC title matchup between Clemson and Virginia Tech since 2010:ASK ME LATER: Swinney was asked how he feels about the prospect of second-ranked Ohio State receiving a spot in the CFP without playing in Saturdays Big Ten championship game, possibly over the winner of that game or another league champion. Ask me that on Sunday. Right now, its about beating Virginia Tech. Thats really all that matters to me. I could care less about Ohio State or any of the rest of them. Weve got to focus on what were trying to do, the Clemson coach said. When its over on Sunday, I think it would be a very clear picture. I think the committee will get it right, Swinney added. But for us, we just want to win and be there.HELLO, JUMBO: When Clemson absolutely needs to convert a short-yardage situation, it calls in the heavy offensive artillery -- namely, 310-pound defensive end Christian Wilkins and 340-pound defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.
Tampa Bay Lightning Gear. The two typically pave the way for a Tiger runner like Wayne Gallman to get through the stacked up front and into the end zone. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said the pair of defensive starters are athletic and adept at moving their feet to get in front of bull-rushing defenders. Wilkins is so agile, in fact, the Tigers have used him as an offensive weapon. He caught a fake punt pass for a first down in the College Football Playoff win over Oklahoma last season. This year, Wilkins caught a TD pass in Clemsons 30-24 win over Troy in September. He also converted a first-down on a 10-yard run on a fake punt against North Carolina State.BUCKY FACTOR: The Hokies always have a mismatch in the passing game with 6-foot-7 Bucky Hodges, who has played more wide receiver than tight end this year. Hodges is third on the Hokies with 42 receptions, but tied for the lead with seven catches for touchdowns. Hes too big for cornerbacks and safeties to cover one-on-one, too fast for most linebackers and a great attention-taker to free WRs Isaiah Ford and Cam Phillips to make things happen.WAIT FOR IT: Clemson receiver Mike Williams leads the Tigers with 79 catches for 1,114 yards and 10 touchdowns. Hes surpassed 1,000 yards in receiving yards for the second time in three full seasons, yet was not in the mix for the Biletnikoff Award given to college footballs best receiver. Dont worry too much, Swinney told Williams, hell hear his name called first when it matters most at the NFL draft. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Williams is expected to be a first-round selection at next springs draft. I think hes the most complete guy that weve had,Swinney said of a list that includes first-round picks in Deandre Hopkins (2013) and Sammy Watkins (2014).RUSH JOB: Clemsons Watson has hardly been touched this season, and Virginia Techs pass rush has not been especially effective, but defensive coordinator Bud Foster is one of the best in the country and will surely try to find ways to allow DE Ken Ekanem, DT Woody Baron and LB Tremaine Edmunds to disrupt Watson and try to force him into mistakes. Watson has thrown 14 interceptions, and turnovers in a game like this can be decisive.---AP Sports Writers Pete Iacobelli in Clemson, South Carolina; Hank Kurz in Blacksburg, Virginia; and Terrance Harris in Orlando contributed to this report.---More AP college football:
