Arguably the most fashionable man in all of the NBA land resides in Oklahoma City, and he’s got his own shoe coming soon with his brand sponsor converse outlet. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exploded into stardom over the last couple of seasons.Signing with Converse in July of 2020, Gilgeous-Alexander is poised to be among the brand’s most important athletes, if not already the most important name on the roster. This October 1st, he’s dropping a clean and simple Pro Leather Low flooded in university blue, drawing comparisons to the Off-White x Air Force 1 “MCA” that dropped a year ago. His initials SGA are pressed into the leather adjacent to the chevron logo on the upper.



Los Angeles has long been known as skateboarding’s capital city, with a skate scene that continues to thrive and influence the sport’s culture and beyond. Blurring the lines between skate and fashion, Converse is onboarding skater Sean Pablo to lend his L.A. flair and bold sense of style onto a new converse one star pro shoes.The LA native brings the classic silhouette into the skate scene by first covering the low-top in baby pink suedes. Star logos on the sides as well as the heel tab are constructed of hairy cheetah print materials, showcasing the skater’s wild side.



The second collaborative capsule from Converse and TakahiroMiyashita TheSoloist. takes inspiration from the storied converse jack purcell mens, which originally released in 1933 and, despite its smiley face bumper, has a bit of a rebellious streak.The sneakers’s dual character — part sport classic, part cultural classic — is conveyed by Takahiro Miyashita’s employment of a mismatched ‘Stars and Bars’ graphic canvas (a print originally introduced by Converse in 1991) and a vertical utility zipper framed by asymmetrical lacing. It is an appropriately respectful yet defiant approach to transforming the silhouette, fully in keeping with Takahiro’s ingenuity.



The converse chuck 70 high top has been through many iterations, and the Utility is the next chapter in the storied shoe’s history. It initially released as a Kim Jones collaboration that hit shelves in April of this year, stirring some early hype.
