It's not the most well-known, but I do think that it's pretty underrated. It's not as good for OSRS Gold fire caps but includes a built-in Teleport. I've used it in conjunction with my fire cape for most tasks that require slayers because of the teleport, and frankly it's much cooler than the fire. Additionally, vorkath and galvek were way harder than the fight caves.

If it had 2 strengths and two prayers, I'm sure it would be used more often. Sometimes, I believe they made a mistake when they made the fire cape that good. No room for improvement without touching the infernal cape.

The fire cape was designed by a reputable company a long time back, long before any of this other stuff. At the time it was the most difficult piece of content you could make, particularly given the equipment available at the time. It was intended to be a strong flex because it was content that a lot of people thought would forever be the most difficult challenge in RS. Today, with the enthralling spells, bows, blowpipes and brews, high healing food, crazy strong armor as well as prayer switching/flicking mechanisms being a basic element of PvM abilities It's not nearly the level of difficulty it was in the past, so that fire caps have lost little amount of its luster. While trivial for a lot players, this is still an obligatory rite of passage for all players who are new to the game. I believe that the ironman challenge has brought it back in its original form due to their limited access to gear and other supplies once they've gotten at the point that they can attempt it.

They didn't "screw their own heads" by making the fire cape as sturdy as it can be. The caves of battle slowly changed from the ultimate challenge to a more accessible content as equipment tools, supplies, as well as combat mechanics' power increased. When they made the fire cape, it was the most deserved reward for the hardest content, it should have been robust. I believe it does.

Yes, but what I'm arguing is that by making the fire cape as good as it is, they didn't anticipate the possibility that it might not be the most effective anymore, without creating massively overpowered capes. As with the myths cape, it is difficult to obtain nowadays however they could not create a better one without rendering the battle caves useless to use. I understand why they created it in the way they did, but they could have future-proofed it by giving it more powerful, with a strength boost of osrs ironman account 2 or 3. prayer.
