Wearing a jalabiya has long been popular in Arabian society, especially among the senior population. Outside of the United Arab Emirates, a jalabiya symbolizes the traditional garb that UAE homemakers are expected to wear. UAE women’s association with the jalabiya as a fashion statement dates back to 2020. No one can say for sure what caused the sudden increase in popularity of the jalabiya. Still, it can be seen being purchased by women at both traditional bazaars and modern retail malls. A jalabiya has become an essential piece of clothing for a lady in the United Arab Emirates, with many ladies splurging on brand-new jalabiya gowns in preparation for the holy month, and the gatherings of family and friends that take place throughout it.
