When you are looking for all things in Delhi for spirituality two places are must visit - Lotus Temple and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. These two structures are steeped in history and faith and offer a peaceful respite from the chaos of the city.
The Lotus Temple is a symbol of harmony and unity, a Bahá'í House of Worship with a lotus shape. Surrounded by beautiful gardens the temple invites people of all faiths to meditate and find peace within its peaceful interiors. The beauty and serenity of the structure is a must see for anyone looking for spiritual solace or just to admire the architecture.
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is equally fascinating, a prominent Sikh shrine in Delhi. With its golden dome and Sarovar (holy water tank) it exudes devotion and humility. Visitors can participate in the langar, a community meal served to all regardless of faith which is the essence of Sikhism’s equality and service. The hymns being sung in the halls adds to the spiritual experience.
