Are there any ceramic tiles that you've purchased that have had quality issues with them? You're having trouble with rework and intellectual property protection.  What if you could avoid buying problems altogether by catching them early? To help you avoid pits, I'll go over the five most common quality issues with ceramic tiles in detail today.  The majority of these issues can be identified with the naked eye, so you can avoid them with confidence.

Abberation of the chromatic axis.

It is generally understood that the color difference between ceramic tiles refers to the difference in color and luster between one brick and another.  The fact that the quality of raw materials for wall and floor tiles cannot be maintained at a constant level, and that each batch of products in the production process will be affected by external factors, resulting in parameter changes (such as boiler temperature, etc. ), means that the problem of color difference at the end of the production process cannot be avoided; it can only be controlled and reduced.

Some ceramic tile manufacturers manually group the ceramic tiles according to the degree of color difference (color number) during the inspection process; however, the human eye is susceptible to being disturbed by a variety of factors (such as light, mental state, fatigue, and so on), which frequently results in inaccurate color separation; some ceramic tile manufacturers also implement an on-line automatic color separation system for the inspection process.  It is not possible to guarantee that there will be no color differences between batches of products, but it is a practical solution to the problem.

As a general rule, when the paving area of the same batch of products is greater than 10 M2 when properly and uniformly illuminated, and there is no obvious color difference that does not affect the beauty of the paving, it can be considered to have no color variation.  After-sales treatment should be sought if there is a significant color difference between products from the same batch that was purchased.  When purchasing foshan porcelain tile, it is preferable to purchase more points and then return them rather than waiting for them to be used up sufficiently to make up for the amount spent.  In the event that you are unable to make up for the same batch of products, the likelihood of experiencing color difference issues will increase.

Colors of the Yin Yang

On both sides of a single ceramic tile, the term "Yin and Yang color" refers to the difference in color and luster between the two sides.  Although it is sometimes referred to as chromatic aberration, the causes of the two conditions are not the same in both instances.  It is most common when the brick is thick and thin on one side, when the amount of water spray is more and less on the other side, and when the polishing depth is deep and shallow on the other side that the phenomenon of yin and Yang color occurs most often.  This problem can currently be avoided by the manufacturer by controlling the average thickness difference of the brick, keeping the water spraying amount on both sides of the water tank uniform, and maintaining the polishing depth on all four sides in a balanced fashion.

It is also possible for ceramic tiles to have a different color due to a large temperature difference between sections, inconsistent section pressure, or inconsistent air flow.  Overburning at high temperatures is bluish white in color, whereas overburning at low temperatures is light in color.  Deformation of the product causes an uneven concave and convex surface on the brick surface, as well an uneven grinding amount during polishing, resulting in the formation of a Yin and Yang color in the finished product.  On the left and right sides, or on the front and back sides, or on one side, this type of yin and Yang color is most often characterized by the presence of large and small patterns, or the absence of clear lines on one side.

In fact, because the difference between Yin and Yang color is lower than the color difference caused by a technical error, it is rare for such problems to occur in the majority of ceramic tile products on the market (especially high-quality products).  When it comes to ceramic tiles, the Yin and Yang color problems are primarily caused by poor construction during the paving process, such as uneven and insufficient water soaking.

Pinhole is a type of hole in the ground that is used for drilling.

When we talk about pinholes in ceramic tile, we are primarily referring to pinholes that are visible on the surface of the tile.  When small bubbles emerge from the underglaze during the production process, they will develop into pinholes.  Pinholes are typically between 0. 03 and 0. 5mm in diameter, which is just within the range of human flesh eyes (the glaze bubble is the largest).  Numerous factors can contribute to the formation of a pinhole, which can be classified into three categories: pinhole defects caused by green body, pinhole defects caused by glaze, and pinhole defects caused by process and unexpected factors during the manufacturing process.

Overall, pinholes not only detract from the appearance of a product, but they also have an impact on its mechanical properties and water resistance, which have a direct impact on the product's overall quality and usability.  It has the potential to increase the water absorption of ceramic tiles while also affecting the product's antifouling properties.  Because of the long-term use of ceramic tiles, they become dirty, ash falls on them, and spots appear.  The most common cause of these spots is a pinhole of this type.

The purchase of tiles must therefore be done with caution, as a small pinhole or too many tiles must be chosen with care during the inspection.  If you're not sure how to tell if a ceramic tile has pinholes, you can spray colored ink on the surface of the ceramic tile and wait a few minutes to see if the ink disappears before continuing.  The pinholes can be checked if there isn't a trace.

Specks of color are present.

Using a black spot and a yellow spot cent, the center of the ceramic tile is transformed into a cave shape, which is referred to as a melting hole.  This defect is primarily caused by impurities in the green body that remain in the ceramic tile after it has been fired at a very high temperature.  Spots are more visible than pinholes, and they are therefore easier to detect and diagnose. .
