牙結石是什麼？

　　牙結石是什麼？牙結石，也稱牙垢，由牙菌斑鈣化後而形成。
牙菌斑是牙石形成的礦化核心，而牙石形成所需的無機鹽成分則來源於唾液。
在一定條件下以牙菌斑為核心的周圍形成礦物鹽沈積，同時，居於核心中的細菌也逐漸礦化，久而久之，便形成礦化的牙石。
