Precautions When Using Diamond Saw Blades

Diamond saw blades require specific adjustments and settings before cutting. These detailed adjustments can effectively improve the cutting performance and lifespan of diamond saw blades, including cutting stability and workpiece quality.

Preliminary Preparation

When using a diamond saw blade, thorough preliminary preparation is essential, especially with regard to the blade's mounting.

Preheating and idling should be performed before use. This refers to running the diamond saw blade for a period of time after installation (without cutting any material). This should last approximately 1 to 10 minutes (depending on the actual situation). In hot weather, spraying with oil mist or water should also be performed; this helps strengthen the blade's edge. Using cutting immediately after installation can easily damage the metal diamond saw blade.

Precautions When Sawing with Diamond Saw Blades

When sawing with diamond saw blades, be mindful of certain precautions. Careless handling can cause permanent damage to the equipment and blade.

1. After idling, check the distance between the diamond saw blade and the material being cut (commonly known as returning the saw blade to zero). Do not start the saw while the blade is in contact with the material.

2. If the material vibrates during cutting, interrupt operation and correct the problem before resuming cutting. (Do not move the material or touch the saw blade with your hands during cutting.)

3. During cutting, if the diamond saw blade vibrates slightly or sticks, immediately stop the machine. This is likely due to a stuck part or a problem with the magnetic powder clutch.

4. If you experience slowdown or poor cutting quality during cutting, interrupt operation and check the nut. If the saw is too deep or the speed is too high, make adjustments immediately.
