Many players have always liked to spit at other players by targeting them and typing /spit. This habit has been since Blizzard first launched World of Warcraft. Although players can still use this emoticon at the moment, when the PTR ends and the Classic server is updated, the emoticon will not be available in the latest version.

Players can still use this emote in TBC Classic and Shadowlands expansion. They want to know why this change occurs in PTR, but Blizzard did not comment on this. At the same time, the development team of World of Warcraft will also take action to delete those references that are not suitable for World of Warcraft. They mentioned this in another statement.

The statement appears to be related to Alex Afrasiabi, the former game director of World of Warcraft, who was accused of sexual harassment, so all items related to Alex Afrasiabi will be removed. Blizzard has fired Afrasiabi for his misconduct in the summer of 2020, and has removed all items and NPCs related to him from the latest version of World of Warcraft Shadowlands, but the removal operation has not yet involved WOW Classic and TBC Classic. The clues from PTR indicate that they are going to modify the contents of the Classic server in the next step.
