He is welcomed with sweets and decorated with flowers and other colourful items. Vinayaka Chaturthi 2022 falls on August 31 this year. When you bring him home, everyone is motivated and tries to be like him by respecting parents like Lord Ganesha and being more forgiving and courageous. But have you ever thought about what powers he possesses and why everyone loves this God?

The Powers of Ganesha

The First Power: Love and Compassion

Lord Ganesha is an embodiment of the love and passion that a person has for people in general and family in specific. It is a feeling that exists too in the Lord and is the first shakti he possesses. He is considered compassionate to his devotees, and hence those who worship him on Vinayaka Chaturthi or in general are blessed and get their wishes fulfilled.

The Second Power: Peace and Harmony

The first shakti of love and compassion, when extended to others like friends, neighbours, etc., becomes a harmonious place to live. Disharmony, anger, and other negative emotions are called Asuric forces which can cause trouble to people. By praying to him, these forces get demolished and extend beyond family, and the vibration of harmony is spread to everyone.

Third Power: Prosperity Of All

When love is extended to everyone, which includes the general public, it leads to honest and harmonious living. In a materialistic world, when people are honest, there is fairness in dealings and eventually even distribution of wealth to everyone. People can still hold on to materialistic thoughts, but with harmony, the Lord bestows prosperity. Lord Ganesha is a giver of wealth and materialistic success. But the devotees have to follow the principles of hard work, honesty, and discipline.

Fourth Power: Intuitive Mind and Creativity

The fourth power is derived by following the first three. This power combines the first two powers stabilised by the third. Lord Ganesha is known for his intuitive mind and creativity. He gives a boon of skills in art, music, craft, and dance. So those who follow him are blessed with these skills and have a glorious future.

The Fifth Power: Giving

The fifth power is the combination of the first and third power. When you pray and love Lord Ganesha through all your heart and soul, you can feel the meringue of all the five powers with you. God believes in his devotees performing charity. It can be in the form of building shrines and temples or offering food and other resources to the needy. It is also a form of earning Punya or fine merit and passed on to the next life.

The powers possessed by Lord Ganesha are myriad, and the above-mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg. He is the Lord of prosperity and wisdom. He is the remover of spiritual and materialistic obstacles and is called Vignahartha. Pray to Lord Ganesha before starting any auspicious work and achieving success. This Ganesha Chaturthi 2022, perform puja with devotion and get the powers of Lord Ganesha.
