Seattle has some of the nicest apartments in the United States if you can afford them. If you have the money for one of the better one-bedroom apartments in Seattle, you will be situated to invite company over and have small but tasteful gatherings on the weekends. 

You might not be sure what to look for as you hunt for Seattle apartments, though. Let’s talk about key features that should be on your radar as you start your search. 

A Large Kitchen 

 You will probably want to get an apartment with a spacious kitchen if you’re a foodie and like to try new recipes all the time. A tiny, cramped kitchen is probably reason enough for you to look at other apartment options. 

A large kitchen where you can try out some new recipes might be what it takes to convince you to move into a particular apartment. The kitchen can be the centerpiece of the residence if you always have tasty smells and succulent dishes emanating from there. 

A Large Bedroom 

You'll also want to look closely at the single bedroom in any one-bedroom apartment in Seattle. How large is it? Is it big enough to fit your bed and any other furniture you determine to be indispensable? 

If you have a small bedroom, that won’t work if you have a large dresser and other furniture. You need a bedroom big enough for you to move around, and you’ll probably want one with a window that opens on a nice view as well. 

A small, inadequate bedroom might force you to look at other options as you continue your apartment hunt. 

An Adequate Dining Room or Living Room 

The better one-bedroom apartments in the Seattle area will have both a dining room and a living room. The smaller ones might have just a single room that you can use for either one of these functions. 

If you don’t plan on having company over very much, you might be fine with a single room off the kitchen that you can use as a living room or den. If you want to have company over frequently, though, you may feel like you need a living room and a dining room in your one-bedroom apartment. 

If so, you can be sure that apartment will cost more than one that only has a single room fulfilling both of these purposes. Getting an apartment with both a living and dining room might be more costly, but if you have the cash, you might feel okay about spending it. Your apartment can become the place to be seen if you always have fun social gatherings.
