In the course of college, one of my favourite things to do between and after classes was the NBA 2K franchise and, specifically career mode. I put hours into every version of the game over a period of years, whether it was as a guard for the Heat or Lakers or elsewhere in the league.

As time has gone by, my time playing 2K has diminished significantly in part due to my enjoyment of playing other games , but in part due to the repetitive character of the 2K franchise. In actuality, it's been more than a half-dozen of years since I last actively played in an NBA 2K game.
