There was some controversy Sunday night as at the conclusion of the Mut 24 coins match,an official mistakenly signaled a first down and moved the chains.The chains were moved back following play and changed to fourth down.Madden NFL 24 vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said the crew had a mishap and should stop play to rectify the issue.

"In the situation in which there is clear confusion over the status of the down,play must have been stopped prior to third down and the proper down was communicated to both teams.This should have happened regardless of the fact that Washington did not have timeouts,and it was inside of two minutes."

Jay Cutler"week-to-week"

Jay Cutler is reportedly targeting his return to the field in Week 14 following his ankle injury.However,his status for the game on Monday will not be known until later this week.Bears manager Marc Trestman said Cutler remains"week-to-week."

The Bears will return to practice on Thursday and Cutler's participation levels could go a long way towards determining his position against Dallas.If he's able practice in a limited manner,he could be in good shape to be back on Monday.However,if not,it may turn out to be Josh McCown getting another start for the Bears.

McCown has been a good player for Chicago,but Cutler's absence is apparent through the stats.Cutler is not playing.Bears have an average score of 29 per game in games Cutler starts and 22.8 PPG in games started by McCown.
